The Ocean County Medical Society has been serving the needs of physicians and their patients in Ocean County since the 1800's. Ocean County Medical Society members are dedicated to a healthy Ocean County by working to ensure the sanctity of the physician/patient relationship.
OCMS has over 300 members representing all medical specialties. The purposes of this Society are:
To organize the licensed physicians of Ocean County.
To unite with other component Societies of the Medical Society of New Jersey; and through it, with other state associations, to constitue and maintain the American Medical Association.
To advance the art and science of medicine; elevate professional standards; safe-guard the interests of, and promote friendly relations among members of the medical profession.
To promote the betterment of public health; and to enlighten and direct public opinion in regard to the problems of medicine and health for the best interests of the people of Ocean County.
To enhance the high standards of medical ethics and honorable conduct by and among the members of the medical profession.
